Information I collect during your Visit here:
1) I will store your computer IP address, Date and Time of visit, your
browser type (IE, Netscape, Opera, etc), and any urls your browser sends,
and any other information you send me during the course of your visit. The
reason for this is two fold:
A] it permits me to understand your needs
better.
B] it permits me to catch hackers.
If I did not store this information and someone attempted to hack my site, I
could not document what steps they took or hold them accountable for their
actions.
2) When you fill out a form on my web site I will be sent everything that
you type into that form.
How I use the information I collect:
1) I review my web logs to determine the number of visitors to my site.
2) I review my logs to check that my site has not
been the victim of a hacker. If
it has, the information I collect may help me understand how my security was
bypassed.
3) I review my logs to understand my guests better. With your screen size
and browser type in hand I can determine if my web site is too complex for
my guests computer to display. Further, this information helps me diagnose
problems with my web site.
4) When you submit your contact information
to me I will use the information you
provide to call you. During the call we will discuss your financial needs
and how I can help you obtain a loan that's best for you.
5) When you submit your detailed financial information to me I will obtain
your credit report. I will then call you to discuss what loan bests suits
your needs.
6) If you provide information to contact you and you do not choose to have
me run your credit file, I will place your contact information in my "do
not contact" file. I may delete this information so long as I do not feel
that the information represents misuse of my server and you request that I
actually erase the lead you provided.
7) Once you opt to have me run your credit file, I cannot delete your
information. However, I can ensure our company makes no further attempt to
contact you should you request that I place your data in my "do not contact"
list.
8) If you actually sign a loan agreement with me, and then proceed to close
that loan then your personal information will become a matter of public record.
Further, I will retain your information for my records. Should you request,
I will place your name in our "do not contact" lists. After that point my
company will not attempt to contact you unless it is to discuss your current
loan. However, you should note that new loan purchasers will be contacted by
third parties who purchase the information from Maryland's depart of public
records. We have no control over this. It's also important to know that my
company may sell your loan after we close it. Once we sell the loan, your
information is governed by the privacy policy of the new holder of your
loan.
9) Upon receipt of a court order from the proper authorities, I will reveal
all requested information to those authorities.
How I retain The information I collect:
1) All server logs will be retained for some time to come. Since I deal in
financial information, I will need to document any requests for your credit
file for my own and your protection.
2) I will retain all information you transmit to me once I run your credit
score or if I feel that the information represents misuse of my server. This
policy both protects your ability to seek recourse in the event of fraud and
protects my ability to document any transaction you request.
3) Unless you request otherwise and I have not run your credit score, I will
delete any form information you transmitted to me upon Your request.
However, I will not delete any information that I feel represents potential
misuse of my server.
4) If you do not ask that I run your credit score and do not ask that I
delete your information, I will retain any information you transmit
A] If you request that I run your credit file or
B] as long as that information has value either as a potential sales lead or
C] if I feel that the information has value for another purpose such as
server diagnostics or
D] until you request I delete your information or the information no longer
holds any intrinsic value.
Third Parties I will give your information to:
1) Unless The transaction warrants such disclosure (e.g. I run your credit,
I receive a court order) I will not disclose any information you transmit to
me to a third party.
2) I will not sell your information to a third party. That's not how I make
money nor is it how I will keep your business.
3) Currently I am not providing the leads I generate from this website with
my employer. However there may come a time when I need to provide these
leads to my employer.
Revisions to this privacy policy:
1) I retain the right to alter this privacy policy as my site's needs
change. Here are several examples of when I may change my privacy policy:
A] I may decide to use web technologies at a later time that require the use
cookies. I currently do not use these on my web site. Should I decide to use
more complex web technologies I will update this policy accordingly.
B] I may decide to provide the information you transmit to my employer.
Should I be unable to keep up with the amount of leads I generate, I will
update this policy to reflect that change.
C] I receive feedback that this whole policy is not clear
D] The laws require that I make a change
E] I receive legal advice that I should change this policy.
